Terms and Conditions

Last updated: 29 September 2026

You have your health history. Years of doctor visits, diagnoses, medications and test results, scattered across hospitals, clinics and paper files you may or may not still have. SASRec Health exists to change that.

These Terms and Conditions govern your use of the SASRec Health mobile application, the patient web application at app.sasrecglobal.com and the website at sasrecglobal.com (together, "the Platform"), operated by SASRec Limited. By creating an account or using the Platform, you agree to these Terms. Please read them.

In these Terms, "you" and "your" refer to you, the user; "we", "us" and "our" refer to SASRec Limited; "Health Record" means any medical information entered on your SASRec Health profile; and "Verified Practitioner" means a doctor, nurse, pharmacist or other licensed health professional whose identity and licence SASRec has checked.

1.How SASRec Health works

SASRec Health is a patient-held, practitioner-written health record. It is not a telemedicine service. It is not a diagnostic tool. It is the place where your health history lives, written by the health workers who treat you and readable by the health workers you choose.

  • You create an account with your NIN card, or without a NIN and add it later. Either way you receive a Health ID.
  • Verified Practitioners and trained health workers at SASRec Hubs add records to your profile after a consultation or treatment. You may add your own allergies, which are marked as reported by you.
  • You can view all records on your profile, share them through a QR code or a time-limited link, and stop a share at any time.
  • Where a health worker writes a plain-language explanation of a record, it is shown beside the clinical text.
  • A Verified Practitioner can also open your record by entering your Health ID, so that a clinic can help you when you do not have your phone. Every opening of your record is logged and shown to you under "Who has opened your record".

2.Creating your account

To use SASRec Health, you must:

  • provide accurate personal information, including a photograph of your NIN card or, if you register without a NIN, a photograph of your face, which our team uses to check your identity;
  • keep your PIN and password confidential. You are responsible for all activity under your account.

You may only create one account per person. If we detect duplicate accounts for the same person, we may suspend or merge them. Creating an account on behalf of another person without their explicit consent is strictly prohibited.

3.Verified Practitioners

Only Verified Practitioners and authorised health workers may add clinical records to a patient's profile. To become a Verified Practitioner, a health professional must hold a valid licence from the Medical and Dental Council of Nigeria (MDCN), the Nursing and Midwifery Council of Nigeria (NMCN), the Pharmacists Council of Nigeria (PCN) or another recognised Nigerian health regulatory body, and complete SASRec's identity and licence check.

Practitioners who add inaccurate, fabricated or misleading records will have their Verified Practitioner status revoked and may be reported to their regulatory body.

4.Your health records: ownership and control

Your health records on SASRec Health belong to you. This means:

  • You can view every record on your profile at any time.
  • You can share your records with any person or institution you choose, through a QR code or a time-limited link.
  • You can stop a share at any time. A stopped share cannot be used again.
  • You can take a copy of your whole record at any time.
  • You can delete your account, subject to the data retention obligations in our Privacy Policy.

By using SASRec Health, you grant SASRec Limited a limited, non-exclusive licence to store, process and display your health records solely to provide the Platform to you. We will never sell your health data. We will never use it for advertising. We will not share it except as described in these Terms and our Privacy Policy, or as required by Nigerian law.

5.Plain-language explanations

A health worker may write a plain-language explanation beside a clinical record. You should be aware that:

  • the explanation is a reading aid, not a medical diagnosis or medical advice;
  • if you have concerns about any record, you should speak with the health worker who entered it or another qualified health professional; and
  • SASRec Limited is not responsible for clinical decisions made on the basis of an explanation.

6.What you must not do

Using SASRec Health, you agree not to:

  • provide false or misleading personal information during account creation or identity checks;
  • attempt to access another person's health records without their explicit permission;
  • share, sell or transfer your PIN, password or account to any other person;
  • use the Platform to spread health misinformation or fabricate medical records;
  • attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape or extract data from the Platform by automated means;
  • interfere with the security or integrity of the Platform in any way; or
  • use SASRec Health for any purpose that violates Nigerian law or the rights of any other user.

7.Practitioner responsibilities

If you are a Verified Practitioner, you additionally agree to:

  • only add records to a patient's profile following a genuine consultation, examination or treatment;
  • ensure that every record you enter is accurate and reflects the actual clinical encounter;
  • open a patient's record only for that patient's care;
  • respond promptly to a patient's request to correct a record you entered; and
  • not use the Platform to practise or offer services beyond your scope of licensure.

8.Security and confidentiality

SASRec Limited encrypts stored data with AES-256 and data in transit with TLS 1.2 or later. Your NIN is never stored in plain text; only a one-way code made from it is kept. Access to records is governed by role-based controls, and every access is logged in a record that cannot be altered.

You are responsible for keeping your own PIN and password secure. If you believe your account has been compromised, contact us immediately at sasrecofficial@gmail.com and we will act to protect your records without delay.

9.Suspension and termination

SASRec Limited may suspend or close any account that violates these Terms, engages in fraudulent activity, or poses a risk to the safety or integrity of other users' health data. Where possible, we will notify you before taking action and give you an opportunity to respond.

On termination, your health records will be handled in accordance with the retention terms in our Privacy Policy. You may take a copy of your records before termination.

10.Disclaimer

SASRec Health is a health records storage and sharing platform. It is not a substitute for professional medical advice, diagnosis or treatment, and it is not an emergency service. Medication and appointment reminders are a convenience and may not always be delivered. The records on your profile reflect what health workers have entered and do not constitute a current clinical assessment unless explicitly stated.

We take every reasonable step to ensure the accuracy and security of the Platform. However, SASRec Limited cannot be held liable for decisions made on the basis of information displayed on SASRec Health, or for errors introduced by a health worker in the entry of a record. If you have any concerns about your health, please speak with a qualified health professional.

11.Intellectual property

All platform design, features, branding and original content on SASRec Health are the intellectual property of SASRec Limited. Your health records remain your property. By using the Platform, you do not transfer any ownership of your records to us, only the limited processing licence described above.

12.Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, including the Nigeria Data Protection Act 2023. Any dispute arising from your use of SASRec Health shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Nigerian courts.

13.Updates to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will notify you by email or through the Platform at least 7 days before the changes take effect, and the date at the top of this page will change. Your continued use of SASRec Health after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
